about

Some say that true faith is a leap in the dark that runs counter to all logic, rationality or common sense (perfectly understandable when you consider some of the ridiculous misrepresentations of God that are supposed to represent him). Yet is it not true that reality takes us by the hand and leads us towards him? The fine balance of physical constants, the face of a beautiful girl, the cry of a new-born infant, the unfolding nebulae, the mystical spiral of DNA: do not all these witness to something more than blind chance? Something (or someone) profound and yet beautiful? Even the disfiguration of evil cannot mask the essential beauty of reality. Science may well answer the question ‘how?’ but it is powerless to answer the question ‘why?’.
When Jesus said ‘Seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened,’ he showed that it was not difficult to find the meaning of life—all it needs is a heart humble enough to search, humble enough to knock on heaven’s door. In the search for divine love, attitude is of more worth than skill.

lyrics

I can’t believe we’re alone
Spinning in infinity
I can’t believe my life will end
And never see eternity

I can’t believe that love’s a lie
A kiss is just a chemical
I can’t believe that space and time
Are all there is to life

I believe in DNA—
Spiral of love, divine embrace
One in a million, not a chance mistake
A child of the stars, not a twist of fate

I believe
I believe in you
Life immortal flowing through me
Fire in my soul
I believe
I believe in you
Earth creator, friend and lover
My eternal home

I believe
I believe
I believe in you

I believe
You’re the reason
Life and love
Joy in creation!
I believe
You’re calling us
To join the song!

about

John de Jong UK

I grew up with a slightly schizophrenic interest in both English and American folk-blues and traditional English hymns. I've always been passionate about the acoustic guitar, but in recent recent years my tastes have expanded somewhat. The Rock Mass is evidence of this. Hope you enjoy the music! ... more
